25 Random things About Me

I was tagged by my cousin on Facebook to complete this...and wanted to tag ALL of you reading this..so here goes!

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

1. I am an only child. Although I have been told that I am not a typical only child..(whatever that means) Growing up, I did not want siblings, but now it would be nice..I think.

2. I have dated my husband since I was 14 years old. Married when I was 22.

3. I am a special education teacher and LOVE everything about it! God has always blessed me with the most amazing, touching children! (Even in ATL..though they were CHALLENGING)

4. I have a beautiful 3 year old daughter. She is the spitting image of her daddy in looks but me in actions.

5. Giving birth was the EASIEST thing I have ever done! Running a mile took more out of me than birthing her 7lb self. It was so easy it scares me to have another one...although I will someday.

6. I love the Lord God with all my heart. Although saved at an early age, it took me many years of "running with the crowd" to realize what living for Him really meant. I thank Him for His grace, mercy and love throughout it all! He has never left and never failed..and for that I am truly thankful!

7. We attend a wonderful church, Hillcrest Baptist Church..and it has brought my relationship with Jesus to a whole new level! Again, a provision I truly believe was God sent!

8. I don't like drama and I don't like it if I think someone is upset with me. I always want to work it out!

9. One of my favorite smells is a chicken house. Not walking right through it, but driving by on a spring night with the widows down. Ha!

10. I am a self-proclaimed Irritable Bowel Syndrome patient. I truly believe I would be diagnosed if I would actually go to a doctor, but I don't think it is that bad to go.

11. I love watching my husband's basketball team! I always have a sense of pride of him when watching..whether winning or losing (although I can't stand to hear such critics if they are losing), I know the sacrifice, hard work and commitment that goes into it..and I am glad to call my husband a coach.

12. I have taught for 7 years but never been tenured yet...1st year..Castlen in Mobile, 2nd and 3rd year in Daphne Al, 4th year in Scottsboro for first semester, in Atlanta for second semester, 5th, 6th and 7th year in Etnerprise Al..God willing and proation doesn't get me, I will be tenured this year...again, an area in our life that God has always provided with jobs for us both..wonderful houses and great friends.

13. I almost lost my daddy 3 years ago. He was in a terrible accident where he fell at work in a 30ft hole while working. I will never forget the horror from that day! But again, he was protected by God!

14. My favorite meal would consist of chicken fingers, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and Sister Shubert's rolls.

15. I just celebrated my 10th reunion from high school..that made me feel very old.

16. I love LSU football. The excitement and joy that surrounds a college football game is a great feeling!

17. I have one tattoo. I got it out of sheer bordem. I had always thought I wanted one but was too big of a chicken to get it. One night my friend Tiffany and I were just sitting around and I said I want a tattoo. And the result is a small sun on my back.

18. I am not a meal planner. Wish I was, but everything we eat is a spur of the moment decision.

19. Hypocritical people who are always looking for the bad in every situation bother me. And are always judging their situation on what someone else did...we are all different, go through many different paths of life and thank goodness, we only answer to One!

20.I lost a very important person to me a few years back. His death has taught me that you never know what someone is going through..and outside appearances can be very decieving. That's why every moment we have with those we love is very important!

21. I rarely spent a night away from home growing up...my grandparents would always have to meet my parents during the middle of the night..which is so funny...b/c since I have been married..I have always lived pretty far away!

22. I am a HUGE Daddy's girl..I think he is pretty much as close to perfect as you can get! And I will argue with you on that one, if you were to say I am wrong! ;0)

23. I can't dance a lick!!!! My janitor at my school can't believe I am actually married to a black man, after watching me dance on stage in front of the school..(not by choice)..one of my student's pulled me up!

24. I used to think Kirk Cameron was the hottest man in the world..and I thought he owned "Kirk Cemetary" which is really close to my grandparents in Rainsville.

25. I cry everytime a St. Jude commerical comes on!
